CV

Charles Andresen was born in Phoenix, Arizona where he was inspired and influenced by the Native American cultures of the region. Although trained as a realist oil painter at The Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, even before graduation he had developed his method of " throw painting " which he practices to this day. These gestural abstractions of flung acrylic paint deliver insinuated imagery for the delectation of the viewer. Andresen has lived and worked in Manhattan since 1991 and exhibited throughout the United States and Europe.
